Independent Examination

Sat 05 Jun 2021

10am - 12noon Virtual - fully booked

Most churches need an annual independent examination.

This course has been devised by ACAT to help treasurers understand the needs of the independent examiner as well as for those considering becoming an independent examiner.

Examiners play an important role in maintaining public trust and confidence in charities by providing independent scrutiny of the accounts. The course covers:

  • The different roles of the trustees, the treasurer and the independent examiner;
  • Who can become an independent examiner;
  • Appointing an independent examiner;
  • What the independent examiner is likely to need;
  • Conducting the examination.
