Ecclesiastical’s Movement for Good Awards are currently open allowing churches to apply for a £50,000 grant for a project with which they’re linked..
The applications need to be submitted by Friday, July 24.
Simply log onto Movement for Good’s website here and follow the instructions.
These awards are open to eligible charities with an income of less than £5million, which support a cause that communities care about: the advancement of education and skills; citizenship or community development; arts, culture or heritage.
Last year, one of the winners was the Life Works project in Poole, Dorset, which is a partnership between the Footprints Project and Parkstone United Reformed Church
The Life Works project offers training, volunteer opportunities and work experience to vulnerable people including ex-offenders and people suffering from mental health or addiction problems. The initiative provides a pathway to employment and increased social inclusion
As well as approving the eligability of your charity, the Movement for Good team will score each applicant under four areas:
The areas are weighted differently to reflect their relative importance.
Movement for Good is coordinated by insurance giant Ecclesiastical, which uses its profits to support good causes.
