Renowned artist holds stained glass webinar in aid of Ukraine Appeal

A RENOWNED Ukrainian artist will give an online talk about stained glass in her home country with all proceeds from the webinar going to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Appeal.

Oksana Kondratyeva’s webinar about stained glass in Ukrainian churches – with a particular focus on those buildings that were built in the 20th Century – will take place on Tuesday, April 19 at 6pm.

The event has been organised by the Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass.

Oksana Kondratyeva is an artist specialising in architectural stained glass who has staged seeveral solo exhibitions.

She received her PhD in Architecture from Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, and studied Glass and Architecture at Central Saint Martin’s University of the Arts London.

Oksana’s lecture will illustrate “the epitome of Ukrainian stained glass, focusing on Secession, Art Nouveau, modernism and postmodernism of the 20th century”.

All the Glaziers’ Company’s proceeds from the event – net of the Eventbrite fee – will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Appeal and a minimum donation of £5 is recommended.
