And the winner is… Grace Community Church.

Congratulations to Grace Community Church for winning a £100 donation in our recent easyfundraising competition.

The church, which is based in Edenbridge in Kent, intends to put the money towards the work it does in the community.

ACAT launched the competition with our Partner in Ministry earlier this winter. To enter, churches simply had to register with easyfundraising before mid-December.

More than 3,000 churches nationally are now using easyfundraising to keep money coming in during these unprecedented times.

With easyfundraising, your congregation can raise money either by generating donations through shopping online or by sending a donation via their credit or debit card.

easyfundraising is completely free to use for everyone and provides a valuable income source for churches while face-to-face fundraising is restricted.

Dave White of Grace Community Church said: “We feel so pleased to receive this extra donation.

“As a small church with a big heart to serve our local community and beyond we are always appreciative of every gift received.

“We use funds raised to support our work amongst children, especially those from families who have little connection with church at present, work in running kids clubs and Christian assemblies in local schools, and work in running a local food bank.

“We also support a number of church works in poorer countries around the world – like in Burundi and in Central Asia.”

Dave added that he’s also a firm advocate of using  easyfundraising for your church.

Dave added: “easyfundraising appealed to us because it seemed easy… and with the rise in online shopping in the current situation it seemed a good way to raise a little extra when we are shopping anyway.

“easyfunding is a straightforward way of generating a little extra income for you chosen charity whilst going about everyday online shopping.”

At the start of 2021, it has never been more imperative for churches to start thinking about their fundraising plans.

As continued uncertainty concerning COVID-19 restrictions, churches can easily and quickly register with easyfundraising to enable their congregations to raise money for them safely from home.

More than £3.5m was raised through easyfundraising in 2020.
