Hi Guest,
At the beginning of this month, we held our annual conference. Something we plan and prepare for months, with the aim of bringing our members together to learn and be inspired. We had an amazing day of great food, fellowship, educational discussions and an inspirational speech from Bishop Mark, Bishop of Middleton. We hope to share his whole speech in this month’s newsletter, so do look out for that, but I just wanted to share a snippet.
‘What do I see before me? Well I see people who hold not only the church’s money but principally its mission and its God-given mandate. You translate each day through your God-given vocation, faith into figures, generosity into action, and good intentions into faithful Christ-filled stewardship. You are the ones that make sure that what is given to God’s work is used wisely and well and transparently and each of those matter hugely.’
Whether you were with us or not, I just wanted to say how much we value you all, and how your hard work is absolutely vital to the Church’s life and mission.
And we’re not done yet, our autumn programme is still in full swing, which will be covering Accruals Accounting, Trusteeship, Gift Aid, and Independent Examination. We’d really love to see you at one of our upcoming sessions. See below for more information.
Thank you, as always, for your commitment and dedication.
God bless, Cath Fox
Administration Officer (Training)
